Much of the business of convention is debating and voting on resolutions, which establish BCFED policy and guide our work.
Who can submit resolutions
Resolutions can come from the BCFED's affiliated unions, labour councils, Executive Officers and Executive Council.
To be eligible to submit resolutions, an affiliate's per capita payment must be fully paid up to August 31, 2026.
Convention resolutions requirements
A resolution can be up to 150 words long (other than wording quoting the BCFED constitution). It must deal with a single subject.
Resolutions may be submitted on paper or electronically, and must be received by September 24, 2026. Each resolution must be signed (physically or digitally) by the two presiding officers of the body submitting it.
Posting of resolutions
We'll post the successfully submitted resolutions on this page by November 9, 2026.
