Accessibility

As an organization that values inclusion and the full participation of all delegates, we’ll make every effort to accommodate accessibility requirements for delegates during the scheduled on-site convention activities.

If you require additional accessibility accommodations, you'll be able to make that request when you register as a delegate.

Please note that we are best able to make accommodations when we know about them in advance.

If you encounter a barrier onsite or need assistance during convention, please contact the Solutions Desk.

Joy Langan Social Justice Award

This award honours the memory of Joy Langan, a dedicated and loyal leader, feminist, mentor, tireless volunteer, champion and political leader. Joy was active in her union, the BC Federation of Labour, her community and the New Democratic Party. Every BCFED convention, the Joy Langan Social Justice Award is presented to a person who is a trade union activist and leader in their union and community.

The award will be given out immediately following the report of the Women and Gender Rights Committee. Don’t miss it!

And if you know someone who'd be a worthy recipient, be sure to nominate them! You can download the nomination form here. The deadline to submit nominations is October 9.
